Hometown

‘Hometown’ is a collaborative settlement-building game designed as a tool for roleplaying groups to use before an ongoing campaign in a different system, although it can be played as its own game as well. Collaborative storytelling is the heart of good roleplay experiences, and Hometown’s purpose it to bring collaboration to the world building stage in a stripped-down pick-up-and-play format. Hometown focuses on the present, rather than constructing histories, and is designed to create simple, fun, and expansive sandboxes for roleplaying campaigns that players already feel invested in. Hometown is designed for campaigns that center around a single hub location from which adventure emerges and radiates, a hometown for our heroes to return to.

Approach Hometown with an open mind and a collaborative spirit, and remember that while the rules and cards matter, rules are made to be broken in the name of good storytelling.
